packed lunch

Most schools in Britain provide hot meals and salads every day but many students prefer to take their own lunch to school.

Sarah and her dad make her packed lunch every morning before she goes to school. Today she's got a tuna mayonnaise sandwich and an apple. Sarah's lunch is healthy... mainly! Sarah eats her lunch with friends in the school cafeteria.

A lot of chocolate, crisps, fatty foods and cola isn't good for people. But these foods are every where. This is pat of an advertisement on British TV. The British Government is worried that many children are obese the medical word for being very fat

One school in England helps students to eat healthy food with the Green Machine.
Green Machines have got a lots of interesting snacks. There are cereals bars, organic crisps, yoghurts, and the drinks in Green machines are healthy as well. There are fruit juices, mineral, water and somoothies.

These students are enjoying their food and it's good for them too.
